Despite all the sound and fury that our badly compromised major cable TV media organizations have their talking heads gabbing and gasping about these days, the two major facets that are doing to tank the campaign of Donald Trump are still yet to be tossed into the mix.

Yes, money, money, money, money, the true love of Trump’s life, is going to do him in. That’s the first thing. Then it’s those pesky debates coming up.

What’s it they say about those who live by the sword? In Trump’s case, his unbridled and uncontrollable love of the filthy lucre has set him up for one mighty fall. Of course, this is why he won’t release his tax records, because they will show everything about how much of a fraud this man is.

If he won’t release them voluntarily, then one can speculate about those nasty hackers out there who probably already have them. They don’t all love Trump the way the Russians do.
Newsweek’s big slam expose this week is another blow to Trump. Its cover story by Kurt Eichenwald, “How the Trump Organization’s Foreign Business Ties Could Upend U.S. National Security,” says this:

“A close examination by Newsweek of the Trump Organization, including confidential interviews with business executives and some of its international partners, reveals an enterprise with deep ties to global financiers, foreign politicians and even criminals…It reveals a web of contractual entanglements that could not be just canceled. If Trump moves into the White House and his family continues to receive any benefit from the company, during or even after his presidency, almost every foreign policy decision he makes will raise serious conflicts of interest and ethical quagmires.”

Then there is the exploration into the public records of the so-called Trump Foundation, showing another amazing set of ethical disasters. Among other things, the foundation paid $20,000 for an enormous portrait of Trump himself. His foundation was set up to take money from other people to spend it on his own ego and advancement.

Correspondent Drew Griffin in a conversation with Anderson Cooper on CNN Tuesday night, reported, “In most cases, if not all the recent ones, Trump takes the money that’s been donated to his foundation, puts his name on it and gives it to other people. So he uses other people’s money to make donations to others.”

Griffin noted, “For two years, the Trump Foundation gave liberally to the Palm Beach Police Foundation and the group holds its policeman ball at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago actually charged the Police Foundation for using the ballroom. The tax records show the Police Foundation paid Trump more than $500,000 for just two balls held at the club.”

As President Obama noted at a Philadelphia rally Tuesday, try comparing the Trump Foundation to the massive social good the Clinton Foundation continues to do. “One candidate’s family foundation has saved countless lives around the world. The other candidate’s foundation took money other people gave to his charity, and then bought a six-foot-tall painting of himself,” he stated.

Add to this the sub-contractor entities that are suing Trump for non-payment of services, and the official investigations now underway about Trump buying the favor of the Florida attorney general Pam Bondi to scuttle a probe of the scam Trump University.

The list goes on.

On the other side, the Obama economic policies that Clinton generally wants to continue and enhance have resulted in astounding numbers for income growth across America, and in his speech on September 11, Obama sharply contrasted a world view based on noble ideals to, generally, the kind of division that Trump has stoked in the population.

The best way to fight the forces of terror in the world, he said, is to “reaffirm our character as a nation, a people drawn from every corner of the world, every color, every religion, every background…for we know that our diversity, our patchwork heritage, is not a weakness, it is still and always will be, one of our greatest strengths…This is the America that was attacked on that September morning. This is the America that we must remain true to.”
